River Ranch is one of the top five fresh produce processors in the United States. The Company operates state-of-the-art processing and cooling facilities in Salinas and El Centro, California and maintains year-round operations.

River Ranch is a leading value added processor of private label salads, fresh cut spinach under the Popeye brand and fresh-cut vegetables. In addition, the Company is a broad-line shipper of high quality commodity products to customers throughout North America.

River Ranch’s well diversified customer base includes leading supermarket retailers, foodservice distributors, super centers and warehouse clubs.

In September 2004, York Street and Babson Capital Management co-arranged a $23MM senior subordinated debt facility to support the acquisition of River Ranch by FdG Associates and management.

York Street also invested $2MM in common equity to support the acquisition.
